  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 19 Sep 1895, Carlisle Evening Herald. Death of Mrs. Adelaide Nevin, of Sewickley Mrs. Adelaide Irwin Nevin, of Sewickley, died at noon on September 18, at her home. She had been in failing health for some time, and kept gradually growing weaker until the end came. Surviving her are three children. Her son, Albin M. Nevin, is connected with the Lancaster, Southern and Oxfird road, and the daughters, Miss Anne W. and Miss Marie L., are at home. Mrs. Nevin was the widow of Prof. Wm. M. Nevin, professor of belles-lettres in Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster. Mrs. J. B. Kremer, of Carlisle, is her stepdaughter.Adelaide Mellier was the maiden name of Mrs. Nevin, and her parents both dying young, left her under the care of F. H. Oliphants's family, of Uniontown. Mr. Oliphant will be remembered as the builder of one of the early iron furnaces in this part of the state. The funeral services will be held at the house in Sewickley this evening and the remains will be taken to Lancaster for interment.
