  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 22 Nov 1939, The Wilkes-Barre Record. Mrs. Annie J. Hand, 83, widow of James A. Hand, died early yesterday morning at her home, 614 Third Street, Moosic. She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Rankin and was a descendant of Thomas Jefferson on her mother's side. Surviving are a son, Bayard Rankin Hand, and a brother, William Rankin, Warren, Pa. Funeral will be held from 1810 Sanderson Avenue, Scranton, Friday morning at 11 with burial in Abington Hills Cemetery.
