Rankin, of Philadelphia, who was struck by an automobile a few weeks ago, died yesterday morning at the Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Mr. Rankin, who was retired and made his home in Philadelphia for many years, is a brother of Mrs. Daniel H. Hastings, widow of Governor Hastings. Mrs. Hastings' daughters, Mrs. Ross A. Hickok, 119 State street, and Mrs. Samuel W. Fleming, Jr., 104 South street, will attend the funeral, which will be held tomorrow afternoon in Bellefonte.
