  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 21 Oct 1899, Baltimore Sun. Mr. Charles A. Briggeman, aged 57 years, died yesterday morning at his home, 729 West Mulberry street, of tuberculosis, after a year's illness. He was born in this city, and when a young man, learned belt-making. For a number of years he was employed by the Thomas K. Carey * Sons Company, of this city. Mr. Briggeman removed to Charlotte, N.C., about five years ago to take a position with the Charlotte Supply Company. More than a year ago his health broke down and he returned to this city. Surviving Mr. Briggeman is a widow, who was formerly Miss Julia Burke, and two daughters and a son - Misses Ida and Bertha Briggeman, and Mr. George Briggeman. Mr. Briggeman was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, of which he was one of the founders.
