The Funeral of Lewis Edward Briggeman, who died at his home, 927 West Franklin street, will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edmondson and Warwick avenues. Burial will be in Mt. Oliver Cemetery. Mr. Briggeman was born July 27, 1852, in Baltimore, and received his education in the parochial school of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was superintendent of Herman Boen & Son for 25 years, retiring from work some five years ago. He was one of the originators of English work in the Missouri Synod in Baltimore and a charter member of Emmanuel Church. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Kate Briggeman; one son, Raymond, and a brother, William Briggeman. [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 4 Jan 1883, Baltimore Sun. Married Briggman - Reese.
