Dr. James Rankin, of Muncy, and President of the Lycoming Insurance Copany, died at Reading last week from heart disease. On Wednesday morning last he started from Philadelphia on his return home, but in proceeding to the depot over-exerted himself, and brought on an attack of heart disease, with which he had been troubled for several years past. He, however, took the cars, but became so ill that it wa found necessary for him to leave the cars at Reading, where he at once received medical attention, but without avail, as he continued to grow worse and died about half past six o'clock the same evening.
