  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 18 Sep 1990, The York Disptach. Howard D. Campbell, a York industrialist, died at 12:30 a.m. yesterday at York Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 78. Mr. Campbell was a retired vice president and treasurer of Campbell Chain Co., which was founded by his late father. An honors graduate of Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a member anf former board member of County Club of York, a member and former president of the Lafayette Club, former board member of York Visting Nurse Association, former board member of Lural Fish and Game Association. He was active in United Way and other charitable organizations. Born in Philadelhia, he was a son of the late George J. and Nellie Brear Campbell. He leaves his wife, Harriet Turner Campbell; a son, H. Douglas Campbell, Jr., York; two daughter, Ann C. Gegauff, Pasadena, Calif., and Harriet T. Campbell, Jr., York; seven granchildren and a brother, George J. Campbell, Jr. York
