  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 15 Apr 1889, Dailyu Local News. A Suicisw William L. Bingaman, of Covnetryville, Hangs Himself Says the Pottstown Ledge: William L. Bingaman, a widely known citizen of Covenetryville, committed suicide early on Friday morning, April `12th, by hanging himself in a straw mow. He was missed in the morning, and search being made, his son, on returning from the creamery, found his lifeless body suspended in the straw house. Deceased had suffered from mental disorder a few years ago, A return of this trouble was hte cause of his rash act of self-destruction. Mr. Bingaman was a man of 68 years of age, and had been engaged in store-keeping at Coventryville a number of years, but had retired from business. He owned a farm, which was occupied by his son, James Bingaman, the father, living with the latter and assisting somewhat in the management of the property. He was a man of considerable means. Mr. Bingaman leaves two daughters and one son. One of the former is a Mrs. Prizer, residing at Madisonville. He was generally esteemed by the community in which he lived, and much sympathy is expressed for his family and relatives over his unfortunate death. An inquest was held inthe case and a verdict rendered in accordance with the above facts. His brother, Robert B. Bingaman, who resides in the same township, is in West Chester today. To a news reporter he said his brother's mind had been more seriously affected of late. His remains will be interred at Coventryville Cemetery tomorrow, leave the house at eleven o'clocv
