  [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 12 Jun 1931, KNoxville Journal. William C. Nevin Cleveland, June 11 - William C. Nevin, 55, died Thursday morning at the Cleveland General hospital following a long illness. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and had been chairman of the Cleveland-Bradley county chapter of the American Red Cross for a number of years. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal church of this city, and was a charter member of the Cleveland Kiwanis club. Mr. Nevin came to this city about 25 years aog to manage the Cleveland Water Co., which later was purchased by the city. He engaged in several lines of business here, having operated a picture show, the Bohemia, for several years, and also mad the Steed Drug Co. for a time. He was a son of J. T. Nevin, Pittsburgh, Pa., newspaper publisher. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mazie Steed Nevin; two children, William and Sarah Nevin; one brother, Fred M. Nevin, of Newport News, Va., one sister, Mrs. Theodore Averill, of Flsughing, N.Y. Funeral services will be held from the St. Luke's Episcopal church Friday at 4:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Porter Florence, of Chattanooga. Interment will take place in Fort Hill Cemetery.
